Hi I'm running the following programs:
Spybot 1.5.1.15
Firefox 2.0.0.7
Opera Version 9.23 Build 8808
My system is a Windows XP Pro SP2 with 512 MB RAM
Pent 4 3GHz
I check for updates and immunize and recheck and after this it says:
Unprotected 0 Protected 89487 Total 89487 but after a little time I find these results:
Unprotected 147 Protected 89340 Total 89487
The problem with Opera is ...Spybot doesn't seem to Immunize Opera's Cookies and when it does it is for a short period of time.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Since I have changed from Spybot 1.4 to 1.5 I have noticed a increased opening time from about 5-10 seconds with 1.4 to now about 30-60 or more with 1.5

Hello,
We already have located the startup problems in Spybot S&D version 1.5 and fixed it:
http://forums.spybot.info/project.php?issueid=85
Here is the download file for the fix:
http://www.safer-networking.org/files/beta/SpybotSD.exe-1.5.1.16-2007-09-24-issues-76-78-79-84-85.zip
Please store the two containing files (spybotsd.exe and domains.sbs) in your Spybot folder.
Normally it is located here:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy
The spybotsd.exe belongs to this path:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy
The domains.sbs belongs to this one:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Includes
If you are asked if you want to override this files enter yes - this will make the changes.
Or just download the new Spybot beta:
http://www.safer-networking.org/files/beta/spybotsd15he-beta1.exe

does this update also cover the problem with Opera not being Immunized?
Second is the total protected now 88147 ? Because it was 89487.
Thanks for your quick reply and help once again!

Hello,
Do you have admin rights?
If you are not immunizing with full administrator rights, Spybot-S&D might not have enough permissions to fully immunize all user accounts.
As a current solution you can try to "Undo" the Immunisation. Now the bad products are allowed.
Then "Immunize" again. This should solve the problem for now.
There are also similar experiences from users with several browsers:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=117162&posted=1#post117162
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=78
Another thing though is that immunization only works properly while your browser is closed, since otherwise your browser will overwrite immunization from time to time from the settings it loaded when it was started.
Best regards

Hi,
I have Unprotected Spybot...However a strange thing has happened!!!
When I checked that everything was unprotected I noticed this strange thing:
Internet Explorer 32/64bit
.DEFAULT (IPs) Unprotected 78 Protected 4294967295 Total 77 (No there is NO typing Error)
Opera 7+ (9.23.8808.0)
Computer (cookies) Unprotected 0 Protected 0 Total 148
When I protect again the problem is still with Opera
Computer (cookies) Unprotected 0 Protected 0 Total 148
Is there a real fix for this prob or not......? So far I have installed 1.5 (after un-installing 1.4) and running a cleaner...Installed 1.5.....Done a fix that I was told to do....I have unprotected and protected again (without rebooting)...I have unprotected, rebooted and protected again but NOTHING works!!
Yes I have Admin rights and yes the browsers were closed.

Hi,
Due to the lack of activity for my problem I have un-installed version 1.5 and reverted back to 1.4 and since then have had NO problems...
Obviously this was just one of many problems with version 1.5
. I will wait for 1.5 until I can see via this forum that it is more stable. I'm not knocking Spybot because it's a wonderful program...I just think that this version was released too early!!
Thanks anyway
