Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.
Let's chat a moment, you obviously are infected with Smitfraud and you also missed the directions posted at the top of the forum and at the top of this post. I would probably have asked you to run Smitfraudfix, but without the information requested in the instructions I can't say how I would have proceeded. Let's make the best of this and see if we can clean your computer. If you still want help, please do this.
1) Read and follow the directions, I will need the HJT log in a bit, you may wait on the Kaspersky scan, I will let you know if I need it.
2) Tutorial if needed: http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php
Clean:
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt
Optional:
To restore Trusted and Restricted site zone, select 3 and hit Enter.
You will be prompted: Restore Trusted Zone ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to delete trusted zone.
Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE-SPYAD, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE-SPYAD, run the batch file and reinstall the protection.
3) Make sure the computer has been restarted, then post the C:\rapport.txt, a HJT log and comments about how the computer is performing.
Thanks
Hello and Thank you for your help. I have run the SmitfraudFix and the optional Trusted and Restricted site zone. I have copied the C:\rapport.txt and HJT log. The computer seems to be running normal without any popups.

Thanks for that feedback, I see this in the Smitfraudfix:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sulimo.dat Please, Reboot and Run SmitfraudFix option 2 once again.
Must be a tough Item to remove, I have seen it left in other logs. Please follow those directions and save the C:\rapport.txt so I can have a look at it.
C:\ProgramFiles\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
For your information, Viewpoint is installed by aol probably without your knowledge. I suggest you uninstall this resource waster in Add Remove programs.

TeaTimer will block changes, use these instructions to turn it off until you finish:
http://russelltexas.com/malware/teatimer.htm
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:
O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\PartyPoker.exe
Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Post a new HJT log along with the C:\rapport.txt
Once that is posted, I believe it would be good to run a scan to look for hidden junk. I will make this optional for you, if you do not think it is necessary, just mention that when you post the above report and log, and I will give you closing information. If you would like a good check, then follow these instructions and post the scan results when you have them.
Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner
You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.
Then post it here.
Thanks...Phil
Maynard, please post the log requested, thank you.
