Spybot SD 1.5 VERY slow

and eating up CPU.

I've been running SB1.5 for about 3 weeks with the teatimer and it takes about 3 minutes or more to actually start SpyBot. during this time I notice that SpyBot.exe is using over 90% of CPU.

Today, I did an update then SpoyBot froze after I got the updates but before the update window closed.

I really like SpyBot S&D but at least 1.4 ran at a decent speed and didn't freeze.

Any solutions? I did try to resinstall version 1.5 but it just hung up after the update (Step 5)

The slow start of Spybot 1.5 is a known problem that has been fixed. See the following tracking task (which includes a link for a fix to the problem):

I have now downloaded the helloween version. Will now reboot and se how it goes.

I didn't realize that version 1.5 was still beta.
