View Full Version : Computer always slowing down horribly, always runs scndsk at boot up

I don't even know what's going wrong here. If I even try to open more than one program the computer goes into a complete meltdown and runs terribly.

Also, theres some kind of scn or check disk that runs a sweep of my computer before it logs me on to XP. It always says that the volume on D is dirty.

I did the list of things, and my computer still is running slow. Like, if I try to do two or three programs at a time, it randomly peaks into 100% pc usage, sending my itunes song that is playing into some weird lags.

Anyway, I downloaded and ran the first spyware prorgam.

I've started to delete things and follow the advice in that post, and I think it's helping, but it's still really laggy feeling.

It doesn't make sense to me. When I first got my laptop it was perfectly fine, I could open a lot of programs without a hitch, and then . . . I dunno.

I'll keep going through that list of things and see if any of them trigger anything.
