View Full Version : Smitfraud-C.msvps
OK here's my problem, I ranSpybot and i found a few problems DEEPDIVE> smitfraud, and smitfraud-C.MSVPS after a few cleanings with spybot norton and TRend MIcro's online virus scan i have all of them removed but Smitfraud-C.MSVPS. I no longer have popups but the red "PRIVACY IN DANGER" walpaper this junk set up disappeared and now i have a white/ grey backround that i can't change. Spybot still finds Smitfraud-C.MsVPS. i also tried S/Dfix to no avail PLEASE HELP!!!! this comp is brand new.
well i have been working on this all day and haven't figured out ANYTHING. i dont understand what could be left.

Please download SmitfraudFix (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe) (by S!Ri)
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe.
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
