Prob: Can't load any webpages or get email. I'm running windows xp sp2 with ie6, but usually use Firefox which doesn't work either. email is outlook express or thunderbird, neither work.

At the top of the webpage it says Page Cannot be Displayed. At the bottom it says Can not find server, dns error

I already have Ad-aware, Spybot and Microsoft Spyware program installed, as well as Norton Av. I figured out how to manually update the ad-aware definitions, but don't know how to do it with Spybot or Microsoft spyware. So those definitions are at least a week old, that's when my problem started.

The ad-aware did tell me that my windows firewall had been disabled and notify = no. So I turned that back on, but it shuts off at almost every restart.

I can not ping any website. I tried dumping temporary internet files, cookies and looked at my internet settings. I did dns/flush and (I don't have it in front of me, but it was something like...) svc /scannow and it reset some files back to original settings.

I used the program End It All to run Hijack This and here's the log if someone wouldn't mind seeing if my problem is in here somewhere. Any help is appreciated.

I may be slow in responding due to no internet at my house--I have to borrow it when I can.

Thanks in advance.

(sorry, I know you probably don't need the whole file, but I don't know what is relavent or not.)

hi computerdummy,

sounds like you are doing all the right things.
winsockxpfix might help, even though you ran scannow which should have replaced any corrupt files. might as well try it. have you had a malware problem in the past. i dont see anyhting in the log that would be cauisng problems, most malware likes to use your internet connection not kill it.
some 3rd party firewalls can disable xp built in. you have zone alarm so keep xp's disabled, as using both is not better in this case.

winsockxpfix:
