• Welcome Guest, to the Spybot Forums! It's 2025, and we just upgraded our forum software.

Today is Safer Internet Day, and with our new forum, you can finally use passkeys to login. That was about time!

Of course, you could ask if a forum is still useful, with so many social media networks out there where you might already have an account, and met a lot of users. You can now use your login from some of those networks to log in here. And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

Choppy video after Spybot S&D install

Ok, so it probably doesn't help that I'm running Windows 98, but I've been happily watching videos using VLC for over a year now. However, ever since I installed Spybot S&D I've had coppy video issues. I figured it must be the Spybot and so I uninstalled it. In hindsight, I should have reversed the changes made by Spybot FIRST, but instead I accepted them thinking that they couldn't have effected my system files. Still choppy video. I've since done a diagnostic of my DirectX - everything clears. I've also tried uninstal and re-installing VLC - no change. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Any suggestions here? Is there someway to make sure that my drivers are ok? Is it possible that Spybot has left me with some registry issues?

Thanks!
