False positives are false scanning/blocking results.

If you believe that you found a false positive within Spybot - Search & Destroy, Teatimer, the SD-Helper, the Spybot - Search & Destroy Immunization or the "right click" file scanner we will require the following information to find, confirm and remove the false positive:

Operating System (Windows XP Professional, Windows 7 ,etc.)
Browser and Version (Internet Explorer 9, FireFox 10, Opera 11.61 etc.)
Version of Spybot - Search & Destroy and date of the latest update
where did the false positive occur

Scan result
after fix
Spybot message at start of scan
Teatimer message when a program was executed
not reachable/restricted website
SDHelper popup
right click scan result

many of the information can be acquired through Spybot - Search & Destroy log files:

Scan, fix, resident and error logs are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs\

Alternatively these logs can be accessed within Spybot - Search & Destroy:

switch Spybot - Search & Destroy to advanced mode
navigate to tools - view report
click "view report" to generate a new report
click "view previous report" to access older / automatically generated reports
click "export" to save the report to a text file

If you are in doubt in which part of Spybot - Search & Destroy the possible false positive occurs you can submit a screen shot and we will tell you which further information will be required.
