Hello,

Which version of Spybot do you run?
Version 1.5?
What did you do exactly when this error message appears?

Best regards

yeah, newest version

i can either hit cancel, retry, or continue

hitting any of the three buttons results in nothing but the error popping back up, i have to close spybot snd and then hit cancel for it to go away

Hello,

Please have a look wich version exactly - 1.5.1.17?
To see which version number and/or updates of Spybot - Search & Destroy you are using please run Spybot-S&D and choose "Help" --> "About" in the menu bar.
There you can see which version you have and which updates are installed.

I get the identical error message. This is version 1.5.1.15, running on Vista 32. If I press continue, cancel, or try again, the program will repeatedly show this error as it creeps through the bot-check.

Addendum: I noticed, in another thread, people were getting an error window whose title was "windows - no disk". This was also the title of my error message. In that discussion many people were solving the problem by making sure that that their boot/system hard disk drive letter was "C:", ie., the C drive letter was not assigned to another disk or drive.

While my computer uses C for the boot/system drive, I had two drives listed that were "Removable", G and H. These correspond to USB hub connections, and no external drives are currently attached. Once I removed these drive letters "safely", Spybot runs normally.

Note, this info is for Vista Ultimate.
