Everytime I open my internet the home page goes to Ultimate cleaner 2007. How can I get rid of this nonsense..

All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Read the direction above, your HJT log is out of date. Delete that copy and post all HJT log from this point on with version 2.0.2. The link for the download is in the instructions.

You appear to have no antivirus program installed on this computer, it is cyber-suicide to go online anymore without one. Install, update and run a scan with only one of these free programs prior to posting another HJT log.

Thanks to LonnyBJones and anyone else who helped with this fix.

1) Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

Wait until you finish to post the report and log.

2) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) Start > Conrtol Panel > Add Remove Programs and uninstall YourPrivacyGuard and AdwareRemover2007. If you see other programs you know should not be there, uninstall them also.

5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

6) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\Program Files\YourPrivacyGuard\ <<< delete that folder

C:\Program Files\AdwareRemover2007\ <<< delete that folder

7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Post the report from Fixwareout and a new HJT log. Tell me how the computer is running now.

Everything seems to be working alright. I do have some questions why do I still see

And in fixwareout why is adware remover2007 and privacyGuard still showing up in this log.
I don't see them in C:\program files anywhere. Are they still there, but not active??

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, you asked:

in the hijack log? Shouldn't red.clientapps be taken out?Yes, that is adware and it was scheduled for removal in the instruction?

And in fixwareout why is adware remover2007 and privacyGuard still showing up in this log.I have no idea, Lonny created Fixwareout to remove a specific infection, "wareout" and I doubt it removes that junk. It might be his software is looking at a rouge list and pointing out junk that should be looked into, but this is purely speculation on my part. I am a lowly foot soldier who swings a sword, those are questions for generals and such.

You have not read and followed these directions that were part of the instructions:
Read the direction above, your HJT log is out of date. Delete that copy and post all HJT log from this point on with version 2.0.2. The link for the download is in the instructions.
I will not proceed until you do so.

I also see TeaTimer activated in the most recent HJT log:

Unless I missed it and I do not think I did, and you turned it on, it would block the removal of the items from HJT and I can see many are still there, so this is probably the case. There is no and reason to have started TeaTimer, SpywareGuard (which was running in the first log) does the same job as TeaTimer.

Recap: Turn TeaTimer back off and then read and follow the instructions in 5, 6 and 7 again. Post the correct log and I will take a look.

I am 99.9% sure these lines were added by the bad guys and have nothing to do with you or your Internet Service Provider. Use HJT to remove the lines I posted below.

If you have trouble getting them out of the log, try this:
Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Note: Do this for all Network Connections
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks

If that does not get rid of those, contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them for help resetting to the correct IP numbers.
