Last night one of my computers was acting strange. The background on my desktop was change..red background with some kind of anti-virus writing. Then some spyware programs keep on poping up. I tried to do the scan in DOS mode but it didn't help. I also tried the VundoFix, it didn't help either. Now when I turn on my computer this morning, I got a blue screen with the stop error:
STOP: 0X0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8058FBA1,0xF88981E4, 0xF8897EE0)

It won't even load the Windows XP (home edition). I try to start it in Safe Mode but it won't.

Does anybody has some advise on what can I do. I don't want to lose all my data. Please help!!!

Hello.

It won't even load the Windows XP (home edition). I try to start it in Safe Mode but it won't.

I am not sure what advice our volunteer helpers can provide as they assist in malware removal.

You used a tool and perhaps others already? We don't know how you got from point A to point B.

after many attempts, I finally at least was able to get in to Windows. I'm still suspecting that I have a virus. I run HighJackThis and this what I got:

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

As tashi said, it is difficult for us to pick up in the middle of the repair, not knowing what was removed prior to you posting. My advice is, if you are unsure of what the malware is and do not know what tools to run, run only your resident tools, Spybot S&D, your antivirus program, and others you have installed on your computer like Windows Defender. Beyond that point, because there are so many infections and the tools are specialized to specific infection, I suggest you ask for expert help and wait until you get it.

If your issues are still not resolved, please do this.

1) Read the directions and follow them. In this case you may wait on the Kaspersky scan until I request it.

2) Update your HJT log from the link in the directions, you are using an old version.

3) Error messages are very important, it is Windows talking to us. I need any error mnessages "word for word", exactly as presented to you.

4) Post a new HJT log using that new version and I will repond as soon as possible after that. If your issues are resolved, please post briefly to let me know aso I can close your topic.

Thanks
