Spybot 7

I installed Spybot 7 about 3 weeks ago. The program took over two minutes to appear when I clicked on it. I uninstalled it. I have tried it again and same problem
occured.
Xp, sp2, home, Mcafee Security Suite, Windows Defender.
Could you please help?

If you have this problem, don't worry as I found the fix for it and it works fine. I will look for it and be back as soon as I can.

There were many reports of Spybot 1.5.1.15 starting slowly. The problem has been found and fixed. See the following tracking task (which includes a link for a fix to the problem):

It is strange that I found this in one of Sanda's posts and thought I brought it here to help others. I guess it's floating around somewhere.

I am glad it worked also b/c I used Spybot for years and thought I'd lost it.
This forum is great. The new version needs studying and I'm sure I'll be back to ask questions.
