View Full Version : Spybot not detecting anything.
Hello,
Ever since i installed 1.5 version of Spybot it always reported no threats which looked to me a little strange but
then again Spybot always served me good so i thought all is good.I have never used any other program except Spybot to detect spyware etc,but today i decided to get avg anti-spyware and when i did scan it found over 100 infections.
So basicly im askin what seems to be the problem with my Spybot?All these weeks it didnt detect anything and said congrats no infections.
Few info:
Im using Win XP SP2
Mozilla Firefox
Spybot version-1.5.1.16
Latest detection update-10/31/2007
Downaloaded also fix for slow startup-SpybotSD.exe-1.5.1.16-2007-09-24-issues-76-78-79-84-85
What more informations do i need to give you ?
Can i somehow solve this problem ?

It would be helpful of provided a list of what AVG Anti-Spyware detected as well as copy of a Spybot scan. To post the Spybot scan:
Run another scan.
When the scan completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard".
Then paste (Ctrl+V) those results to a new post in this thread.
I wasnt home for few days,anyway on topic.
I hope this is the info you were looking for,coz full report cant be posted,says it contains over 20000 char.

Last time there were 100 threats and Spybot didnt detect any of them.Thats why i thought maybe something is wrong with my Spybot coz i go to sites that have spyware,but then again i could be wrong.
Any help is appreciated.

All the detections appear to be for Firefox Tracking Cookies.
Please read the following article for an explanation as to why Spybot may not be detecting those particular Tracking Cookies and how to prevent them from being stored on your system to begin with:
