Smitfraud-C.CoreService - please help !!

Hi everyone - first post i've ever made:

I've been getting relentless pop-ups over the last week or so. When running Spybot, I'm consistently getting Smitfraud-C.CoreService coming up as one of the key problems.

After doing some research, both on the net and on these forums, seems like I'm not the only one with this problem.

I've seen that the mods here do a great job of helping people out with this problem, so I would love to get the same help.

I'm decent with computers, but not that great - so please bear with me if I dont understand things.

* I have the spybot text file of results. It is quite long, but I'd be happy to post it if it helps out.

oh and I can't run the Kaspersky report because for some reason, it says i'm not the system administrator - yet i'm the only person who has access to my laptop

hi - i'm just bumping this post because nobody has responded to it.

I have read "Read Before You Post" thread and did my best to post accordingly.

I would really really appreciate some help - I'm a student in grad school, and my laptop is basically my life !! I'm damn near handicapped with this thing being ravaged by Smitfraud.

If any of the security experts on this forum could **please** help me out, I would be much obliged !!
