Removing CiD Popups

Some how I got infected with an adware lop called CiD. Spybot and other spyware can't detect it. Even antivirus except Norton. But it can be uninstalled. The company does make an uninstaller.

http://nb.dns-look-up.com/bins/uninstall.exe (http://nb.dns-look-up.com/bins/uninstall.exe)

You need to run this then re boot. Then run it again.

Afte that you need to go to

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

And open the Hot file with notepad and delete all of these entries.

I hope that this will help anybody that runs into this problem as I did. This adware lop won't even let spybot run. This is a really mean piece of software. Freezes you're computer, maxes you're cpu. And you can even get it from installing Windows Live.

Hope that spybot can do somthing in the future to detect and destroy this.

Hello.

Such infections may need special tools to remove. I wouldn't use any un-installer unless advised to by someone trained in malware removal.

Please zip or rar the file/s and send them to: detections(AT)spybot.info (Replace AT with @)
