• Welcome Guest, to the Spybot Forums! It's 2025, and we just upgraded our forum software.

Today is Safer Internet Day, and with our new forum, you can finally use passkeys to login. That was about time!

Of course, you could ask if a forum is still useful, with so many social media networks out there where you might already have an account, and met a lot of users. You can now use your login from some of those networks to log in here. And by posting here, your question and data is stored on our servers and not automatically shared with a whole social media network.

We'll also start using the forum for small bits of information, announcements and more again.

This error appears when starting the new version 1.5 spybot "DWQueuedReporting" - allow access or deny

Cany anyone help please

rswalker:

It sounds like you may be getting a TeaTimer registry change dialog, but have only provided part of the content of the message.

Please show us what registry change is being processed. You can do that by either providing the entire content of the message in the registry change dialog or by posting the portion of the resident log that shows the change. To post the information from the resident log:
  • Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > Resident.
  • Page (scroll) to the bottom of the listing.
  • Highlight a portion of the log that shows the "DWQueuedReporting" entries, then right click and select Copy.
  • Paste (Ctrl+V) the log entries to another post in this thread.

Cristabel:

The DWQueuedReporting startup entry is normally associated with the Microsoft Error Reporting and usually executes dwtrig20.exe (Watson Subscriber for SENS [System_Event_Notification_Services] Network Notifications). It appears that this startup entry was being deleted and in response to the TeaTimer dialog message you did a "Deny change" with a "Remember this decision" option. Further it appears that repetitive attempts are being made to delete the entry and they are being denied because of the "Remember this decision".

To correct the problem you must remove the "Remember this decision" entry from TeaTimer and do an "Allow change" when an attempt is made to delete the entry.

When you check "Remember this decision" on a change the information concerning that change it is stored in a file. TeaTimer uses that information to automatically "Allow" or "Deny" changes. To edit this information:
  • Right click on the TeaTimer system tray icon and select Settings. This will bring up TeaTimer's "White & Black List". There are four (4) Buttons across the top of the "White & Black List":
    • Allowed registry changes
    • Blocked registry changes
    • Allowed processes
    • Blocked processes
You can review all the entries that you have stored by clicking on these buttons. The entries that you should review are in "Blocked registry changes".

You must remove the entry from "Blocked registry changes" that is causing the registry change to be denied. You can delete the entry associated with the DWQueuedReporting startup entry by clicking on the scripted black "X" to the right of the entry, answering "Yes" to the confirmation dialog and then clicking the "OK" button when you're done.

When a TeaTimer dialog for the deletion of that entry is receive, do an "Allow change" and do not use the "Remember this decision" option.
