Hi, I have been plagued by SpywareStrike for the past 3 days . I followed your recommended procedure and it seems to be fixed. Thanks very much.

I copied all the logs you requested but they are much too long for the forum to accept so I will include the HiJackThis logs before and after. If you want anything else please let me know at
(removed email address).

Second HiJackThis Log:
(Had to remove this as it was too long for the forum message box. I have all the logs and could send them as attachments)

The problem seems to be fixed after following your procedures. I had previously tried to fix it using the procedures described in http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-spywarestrike.html . However, the spywarestrike kept reinstalling itself :-( Maybe this was a newer version of the malware. But in any case your procedure solved the problem (my fingers are still crossed after spending 2 full days on this nuisance).
A couple of notes:
(Had to remove to fit forum message requirements)
Ewido found (and cleaned) 1000 Infected Objects!

I want to thank you very much for your help. I am truly grateful for your advice. I suspect I will be back again!

John

Just an addendum to my previous post.

The instructions for removing the malware indicate a number of log files to include in the post, but the forum message system doesn't seem to allow enough space for the messages that would result if those instructions were followed. The instructions specifically say not include attachment files. Am I missing something here? Should I have just sent a number of shorter messages? Have others run into this problem? Just a bit curious how handle this.

Thanks again.

John

hi

the hjt log still shows some infected
items

you may use separate posts to post all the required info:
post hjt in post 1
other reports post2, post 3 if needed

can you first post a fresh hijackthis log to see if there still is fixing
