Infected with Bagle, tearing my hair out!

Hi, first post here but have lurked on occasions!

Yesterday my computer got infected with the Bagle trojan, and after over 5 hours of work I thought I'd removed it. GMER was the software that pointed me towards hidr.exe and srosa.sys. I ran quite a few tools, but in the end it was a combination of gmer, avg anti-rootkit, combofix and manually removing some startup registry entries that seemed to do the trick.

Bagle of course kills any anti-virus programs and also deletes the spybot exe. I got all that back up and running after the supposed removal, but today it suddenly came back. Ahhg! Before it came back I had run Spybot and Symantec Anti-Virus to do a good sweep of the machine.

I've removed it again (gmer reports it's not running), but am worried about it reappearing. I know the file it came from originally so that has been deleted.

The virus also killed my wireless connection. I've reinstalled all the drivers but the Wireless Zero Configuration service just won't start, giving an error 1068.

Can anyone help me ensure these hidr.exe and srosa.sys files don't come back, and possibly help fix the wireless connection?

I didn't get any replies to this, but thought I would update it to help people with this problem in the future.

Basically the virus hasn't come back which is good. I ditched Symantec (which I think the virus corrupted) and have gone to AVG. Everything is reporting clean. This just left the problem with the wireless connection.

The Wireless Zero Configuration service wouldn't start, saying it was due to its dependencies. Looking at the Event Log it seemed that the dependency "NDIS Usermode I/O Protocol" was the one struggling. I scoured the net for help but no luck at all. Eventually I fixed it this way:

Go to the wireless network connection properties (within "Network Connections" in the control panel), click "Install" and select "Protocol" then click "Add". Now click "Have Disk..." and put "C:\WINDOWS\inf" in as the path and click OK. Then click "Microsoft" and select "NDIS Usermode I/O Protocol". Click okay and it will reinstall it.

You should now be able to start the Wireless Zero Configuration service.
