View Full Version : Resource Hacker Needed
I didn't found Resource Hacker in this forum.
Can you give me a address on which I can Download it.
I had it before, but my old computer crashed (forever). We've bought a new computer (details on the signature).
I couldn't go on the internet, because I didnt have connection. We had a ADSL connection, but it failed (it couldn't work).
BTW, what happened at the forum ?

I don't understand either!
Were you able to get a copy of "Resource Hacker"?
Hi Tom.
I don't understand.
From the site:
CPUKILLER is a software capable of slowing down your computer up to 99% permitting you to run old software.
There is no date as to when the program was last upgraded. Legacy software can be a security risk anyway.
Resource Hacker is no longer being developed, although it is still available. What exactly are you needing to do?

Well, I use it to view some resources like bitmaps, movies (AVI)
,and so on... and for changing dialogs. I'm not distributing the edited program, because I'm afraid that I will "brake" the license.
Anyway, It's useful.
I never use untrusted programs (but it happends sometime that I get a threat).

Yes, it was quick.
Nice stats on your new computer Tom. :bigthumb: Have you considered IE7 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx) yet?

I don't want to install IE 7.
Security is enhanced with IE 7.
If I install IE 7, I should install WGA (Windows Geuine Advantage), that could make changes. And i don't want to use Windows Update. First and last time on old computer happend next: On the start, it was all right, but later there wasn't any transmission. I've disconnected the connection.
I've checked the device manager and it showed me a disabled modem device and warning on WDM device.
I've restarted the computer. I've checked again. It was ok.
Then I've took a scan. When I took a scan with some software (it's not Spybot-S&D,and I can't tell you) , it hanged. I've restarted computer. But then, it showed a Primary Master Error which meaned that I'll never boot that drive.
Maybe it will be better that I install Firefox 2.0.0.7.

Even better if you install Firefox 2.0.0.11 ;)
