SillyDI DIC Trojan Virus

Hello there, when scanning with e-trust pest patrol. i noticed that the trojan 'SillyDI DIC' was found, i tried to quarantine it but after rescanning it would appear again.

i have also noticed the my task manager opens on request but closes straight away, maybe the virus has to do with it?

My antivirus product, AVG, hasnt found this trojan, only e trust and i tried the kaspersky online scan but it failed.

Unfortunately you have not provided me with a lot of information. I know e-trust pest patrol has identifed something (they all call the junk different names) but not what it is or where. I see this running in your HJT log:

Let's remove it and clean a little and see what happens. I am wondering why you could not run Kaspersky? You gave no reason, did you use Internet Explorer to download it?

How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O4 - Startup: jun.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\system32\jun.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\jun.exe <<< delete that file

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Post a new HJT log, include any information I requested and some feedback.

I've gotten rid of the trojan by doing this while waiting for a reply. I uninstalled AVG Free and then installed e-Trust antivirus. E-trust detected three infections and removed them. My computer is now back to normal.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
