I loaded and ran SpywareBot, Error Killer, PrivacyControl and Zone Alarm thinking it was all part of Spybot. I was changing from Norton where the update was giving me problems.

One, is this the correct place to post this and two, did I expose myself to any threats, malware or damage. I ran a number of programs including Spybot from the Ultimate Boot CD to try to clean out my system. It appears to be free of bugs. I was concerned PrivacyControl gleaned information from my system.

I paid for SpywareBot and PrivacyControl but have removed all of these programs from my system.

Hello JWP798
Welcome to Safer Networking.

While best efforts are made to assist in removing infections safely, unexpected stuff can happen.

I need to see a Hijackthis log so we can see whats going on on your system.

Download Trendmicros Hijackthis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/_download/HJTInstall.exe) to your desktop, double click it to install, follow the prompts and by default it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis\Highjackthis.exe

Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
Go to Edit> Select All.....Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread

DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
