Hi there, before I get into detail, I just wanted to say thank you to whomever can help me out. This is really annoying, being I just got done reformatting and reinstalling everything a week ago. Without wasting space, here it goes.
My symptoms include:
1.) A desktop hijack which replaces my wallpaper with a yellow background and a big picture in the middle with a warning about how my computer is infected with spyware/adware and how I should download and use AdwarePunisher to remove them.
2.) It also highjacks my broswer by not allowing me to type anything into the address bar with the constant url of: hxxp://statcash/sys/redirect.php?advID=16 which displays a custom url not found error about how I should click and buy AdwarePunisher to remove and repair this problem..
3.) I also get windows system tray/taskbar notifications about my computer being infected and clicking here to download adware punisher.
4.) AVG is detecting the following trojan (of which I can heal, however it keeps coming back time and time again): Trojan Horse Generic.NHN (In windows system32 folder).
I've read and followed the directions in the before you post your log thread. I chose to use trend micro's online scan, it found these three grayware/spyware items: TRAK_SE.81 , ADW_SE.10340, and TRAK_SE.10419
I then followed suit with spybot, which turned up no results.
Heres my HijackThis Log:
