Wab64.dll Trojan Backdoor.Hupigon3.MRB keeps on coming back

My AVG detects this trojan and I heal it... but the next time I log in it is there again... what do I do??

I looked for mywebsearch in the add/remove programs but its not there... but there is a rundll error during startup which says: Error loading C:\Progra~1\mywebs~1\bar\2.bin\mwsbar.dll the specified module could not be found... is it possible that another user of my computer deleted it?

is it possible that another user of my computer deleted itmost likely a malware app removed it. the 04 is a leftover registry entry.

before using hjt please disable spybots tea timer if running so it will allow hjt to make any changes:

1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
2. If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
3. On the left hand side, Click on Tools
4. Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
5. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
6. Restart your computer.

ok good. hjt log looks ok. hows it looking on your end? i think that avg is a false positive. if all is good you can make new restore point like this:

You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(winXP)

1. Turn off System Restore. (deletes old possibly infected restore point)
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.(new restore points on a clean system)
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK, then reboot

good question but i dont have a clear answer.

from a "security" point of view it dosnt matter what one you use because a large part of practicing safe computing is practicing good judgement and safe hex. who made your AV and how good it claims to be dosnt matter. "bad' habits and poor judgement can result in malware and no software can save you from your own actions.

the other answer is:
try one out, one at a time, most have 30 day trial versions. see what one you like best based on its interface, ease of use, updating it. light on resources? ie: dosnt drag your computer down. does it have a bunch of options you dont need. alot of antivirus suites can come with spyware scanners, firewalls and all kinds of anti this and that.(bloatware) maybe you just want a antivirus.
pick one based on your own personal preferences.
