XP computer. Control Panel - Add/Remove programs does nothing when you click on it.
Have run Spybot and removed all items successfully.
Trying to run Symantec Anti Virus but it will not start so unable to do full scan.
Keep getting the following error message
C:\windows\system32\append.dll is not a valid Windows image. This appears in windows saying things like find.exe bad image or catchme.exe bad image
I have run SDFix.exe but the messages continue to appear.
I get this message when I try and open Anti Virus or any other program.
