Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/Deckard/dss.exe) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

Close all applications and windows.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and the extra.txt to your post. in your reply

Thank you Shaba. This morning I found that PC Tools Spyware Doctor was blocking malicious software. I then did a scan using this software, and it successfully detected and deleted this malware, which up till today it had not found. I wanted to wait a bit to ensure that all was well, and it seems that my problem is now cured. I hope you do not mind me passing on my information to help others. I used a free version of Spyware Doctor which is available through Google.

I appreciate your concern and offers of further help. Thank you. On the other hand it appears that the malicious software on my computer has recently been identified by Spy Doctor and a fix issued by them. And for this I am also very grateful, as my computer now seems to be back to normal. I am understandably extremely reluctant to do anything further which might cause other problems. I have downloaded DSS, as you instructed, and was about to go ahead with your request, but since there is a clear warnings of various risks in running this programme, I aborted. I am chicken, I know.

You are correct, I have no idea what DSS is, or what it will does, or what level of risk is involved in using it. I can only make a judgment based on what it says in the opening dialog box, and weigh that up against the fact that I have at present a fully functioning computer. To quote the warning..."The author does not warrant or assume any legal liability or responsibility for any information disclosed by this tool, or for any damage it may inadvertently cause." That's a little scary. I can see no point in taking any further risks while everything appears to be working well. I have just recovered from a nasty new malicious malware, which no anti-spyware was able to fix (apart from Spyware Doctor) and I think it wiser to leave well enough alone, unless you can give me a very strong reason to do otherwise.
