Hi svargas28. :)

Welcome to Safer Networking.

There is no sign of an antivirus installed on your system. There are several reasons for it. Either you have disabled your antivirus or there's no antivirus installed.

If you have disabled it, please re-enable it. If you have no antivirus installed, please get ONE antivirus and install it. Restart the computer for changes to take effect.

AVG Antivirus Free Edition (http://free.grisoft.com/filedir/inst/avg75free_503a1171.exe)
avast! 4 Home Edition (http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe)
AntiVir Free Edition (http://www.antivir-pe.com/freet/index.php?id=25&domain=free-av.com)
PC Tools Antivirus (http://www.pctools.com/mirror/avinstall.exe)

Please post back a new HijackThis log after installing the antivirus.

Hi svargas28,

Please do not start a new topic as this will make me lose track of you. Click here (http://forums.spybot.info/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=144276) to post a new reply.

Step 1

If you already have Smitfraudfix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.

Please download SmitFraudFix.exe (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe) by S!Ri and save it to the desktop.

If you can't download it, please download it from these alternative sites:

From Geekstogo (http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.exe)
From Security Cadets (http://downloads.securitycadets.com/SmitfraudFix.exe)
From Zebulon (http://telechargement.zebulon.fr/259-smitfraudfix.html)

Double click on SmitfraudFix.exe.
Press 1 then hit the Enter key.
It will create a report named rapport.txt, usually at C drive.
Please post back this log in your next reply.

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. Read more here (http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/processutil/processutil.htm)

Step 2

Open HijackThis.
Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
Look under System tools.
Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
Click on the Save list... button.
It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.
Notepad will open. Please copy and paste the contents of this log in your next reply.

In your next reply, please post:

The Smitfraudfix log (C:\rapport.txt)
A new HijackThis log
The Uninstall list

Hi svargas28,

Step 1

Please copy this set of instructions or print it out as you will not have internet access during the fix.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode

When you see the BIOS screen, start pressing F8.
A boot menu will appear shortly.
Using the up down arrows, select Safe Mode and press the Enter key.
Windows will now load.
Log in to your usual account.

Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe.

Press 2 and press Enter to delete infected files.

You will be prompted: Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?; press Y and press Enter in order to start cleaning the cleaning process. Your desktop will be gone for a while cleaning.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You will be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); press Y and press Enter.

The tool will restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart manually into Normal Mode.

A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy and paste the contents of that report into your next reply. The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Note to other users: Running option 2 on a clean machine will remove your desktop background.

In your next reply, please post back a new HijackThis log and the contents of C:\rapport.txt.

Step 2

Click on Start > Control Panel and double click on Add/Remove Programs.
Locate Browser Protection Volume and click on the Change/Remove button to uninstall it.
Repeat for these programs: Coupon Printer for Windows
Internet Explorer Secure Plug-in Close Add/Remove Programs and Control Panel.
Restart the computer.

In your next reply, please post:

Smitfraudfix report (C:\rapport.txt)
A new HijackThis log

Hi svargas28,

The logs look much better now. :)

Step 1

Open HijackThis and select Do a system scan only.

Put a check (tick) next to these lines:

O2 - BHO: Video - {D0995F82-90C7-4C78-9B4C-C1700FB8B120} - C:\WINDOWS\windivx.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: e404 helper - {F10587E9-0E47-4CBE-84AE-7DD20B8684BB} - C:\Program Files\Helper\webfindsite.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rtasks] C:\Program Files\TrustedProtection\rtasks.exe

Click Fix checked.

Step 2

Please uninstall this program: TrustedProtection.

Restart your computer after uninstalling it.

Step 3

Delete this folder if present:

C:\Program Files\TrustedProtection
