Hello There,
My name is Raiders and this is my first posting. I have been a user of SpyBot S&D for some time now. I truly appreciate its value. I was must have been delinquent for a short time in down loading the updates and now my system has been infected. Here is my summary.
1) Ran virus scan using McAfee ---> found no infections
2) Spybot S&D in normal and safe mode always detects Zlob.DNSChanger even after seemingly removing it.
3) I read a thread from June 2007 entitled “Zlob.DNSChanger” posted by “Craeat” … so to save time, I downloaded and ran Fixwareout.exe as you asked Craeat to do. I realize now after having read “Before You Post”, I should have waited to let you see my HJT log first. "No two problems are exactly alike". Sorry.
4) Having said that, here are the three logs:
(i) Fixwareout report,
(ii) HJT report (after doing Fixewareout.exe) … and finally
(iii) Kaspersky scan report (just the introductory summary, else post would be too long).
Note that I had to dbl click “dnsbak.reg” registry file in the Fixwareout folder to get Internet Explorer to work after the Fixwareout re-boot. It suggested I mention that to you.
Can you help me? Any help would be truly appreciated.
With sincere thanks,
Raiders
