View Full Version : Cannot enter information into forms

I have a computer that seems to be unable to submit information to forms. The browser is able to view the form and the user can enter information into the fields, but when the user clicks "Submit," the browser simply displays a blank page or a "Page cannot be displayed" message. Windows update also does not work.

Recently I noticed some alerts from Symantec Anti-Virus saying that it has quarantined a Trojan.Vundo. This seems to affect IE and Firefox, but Safari appears to be unaffected. Here is the HijackThis Log I generated for this computer:

C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\ <<< BADLY out of date and likely why you are infected. Download the newest version of Java and uninstall all old versions in Add Remove Programs.

You have a Vundo infection which can be hard to remove. This will take some time and unless you are patient, understand how to follow directions and are comfortable working on your computer, you may want to seek local professional help. If you wish to proceed, read and follow the directions carefully.

Read the directions, you have posted and out of date version of HJT. Update to V2.0.2 from the instructions in the directions. DO NOT run and post the Kaspersky scan until I request it.

Post the correct HJT log.
