i would like to note that i have done an online kaspersky scan already and i will post it if need be unfortunately the message was too long and no disrespect to anyone but last time i posted and then had to reply the kaspersky scan and i never got any replies which is very understandable other people were being assissted and also i did not listen to the 4 day rule so my message would not be archived so it was my fault sory bout that :)

Thanks for the feedback, I will see what I can do, I see some junk that needs to go but we need to do this before proceeding with an investigation.

1) Do not post the Kaspsersky scan until I request it.

2) Post all logs in Normal Mode unless requested otherwise.

3) "computer behaving weird" means nothing to us, describe the symptoms, post any error messages "word for word".

4) Start reviewing this information, "running slow" is often caused by other things than malware.

5) System Configuration Utility (MSConfig) is running in Selective Startup mode, return it to Normal mode.

6) Post a new HJT log, including any information I requested, once you have done the above, and I will take a look.

Ok first of all pskelley I would like to thank you for taking time out of your busy shedule to look and reply to my thread thank you very much I appreciate all your help.

also id like to apologize as well for my general description of my thread i realize it doesn't provide much info but i realy didnt know what else to put but from what i can recall and from what i wrote down i remember when i was trying to shut my computer down i remember seeing a data protection message which never happened before as well as this message: exception unknown software exception (0xOeedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b.

now some of my symptoms i notice is program hangs more than normal as well as i may click them and they take a long time to appear or dont even appear at all, restarts more than normal as well

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, before I look at the log, it sounds more like something other than malware is causing your issues. Look at that information I posted, maintenance may well be an issue.

We have some dead items and adware we will remove and do some cleaning, first let me make a couple of suggestions.

1) C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\jusched.exe <<< this is your Java scheduler and it show Java out of date, but here:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\ <<< shows the most current version. Means the scheduler is not working right if at all. The tool is buggy and many folks turn it off as it also uses resources. I suggest you turn it off and check for updates manually. I check at the same time I do updates from Microsoft once a month.

2) I am always nervous about items in the "Trusted Zones", that is the 015 items in the HJT log. Just have a look and be sure you want them all there, that they are safe.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart and post a new HJT log and some feedback.

hey there pskelley again i thank you for your patience, replies and your over all help really appreciate it all so thank you again very much.

ok i believe i did all of what you said and also i need to clarify something for you when i told you about the error message of data protection storage i was wrong instead it was data execution prevention message that had popped up that i had never seen until that time

now before i post my new hijack this log if you would permit me i have a couple concerns or questions my first question is i am logged on to the owner account but i dont use it very often as the other account ddsbcyahoo so what i wondering is will this matter on scans or fixes or anything???

another question is there a way to have administrator rights on these others accounts without logging into the administrator account and if so can i access one account from another???

For your information, you can also use Google: http://www.google.com/ to research your error messges. You will only be successful if you search them "word for word".

i am logged on to the owner account but i dont use it very often as the other account ddsbcyahoo so what i wondering is will this matter on scans or fixes or anything??? You should log in to the Administrator account, if you have multiple users on the computer, we should look at HJT logs from each user.

The item does not look bad, just wondering why it is there. You can use HJT to remove it.

I asked about "Trusted Zone" items and never got an nswer that I can see, so I will assume those are safe.

The HJT log is clean, let's have a look at a Kaspersky scan to make sure nothing is hiding.

Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here.
