Somehow my system got infected. I am usually very careful using Fsecure , Spybot and Adaware.
I ran Spybot and it said it could not remove these and I would have to reboot to do so, but it keep saying file in use. I have read many threads here and it sound nasty.
The fixes even seem that they may take a while.
A couple of quick questions.
1) If these are the only two items I have, would it be quicker to back up my data, and then reinstall the OS and applications?
I can do most of the back up and install while I am doing other things during the day. It seems like these fixes may take similar amounts of time - 20 hours or so?
Just curious on if I backup my applications, and reinstall a clean copy of the OS this stuff should also go away?
