View Full Version : Spybot Starts Very Slow
Whan I click on Spybot( v.1.5.1.15) icon to run app. It take long time to open (say about 3 mins) I re-install but no help. I used Spybot for many years this is the first time it happen with this new v.1.5.1.15. Anyone please help me!

We already have located the startup problems in Spybot S&D version 1.5 and fixed it.
Here is the download file for the fix: the new Spybot beta (http://www.spybotupdates.biz/files/beta/spybotsd15he-beta2.exe)

Two questions:
1. Why do you need my date of birth for registration?
2. This slow-start-problem:
-I visit spybotsd.
-I download the current version.
-I realize that it starts to slow (before 1.5 it worked fine)
-I must check it out.
-I find this thread.
-I install the beta version.
Why don't you fix the problem in your download your offering in the startpage, when you know about it the bug?

After I have downloaded the fix linked by spybotsandra ( 2007-12-23 ) , I looked at my version of Spybot and this is written 1.5.1.18 .
Does the version running on my system is still 1.5.1.15 or beta version 1.5.1.18 ?

Also got this Problem, reinstalled my System today, all was fine, Spbot ran, found and fixed problems,Ii continued installing and configuring and well, few minutes ago it started messing around, starting up very slowly, using massiv amounts of CPU time, anytime I start an action...
for some reason it activates my floppy which seems, well, strange

The beta updates are the beta detection updates of Spybot and not the beta version of Spybot itself.
