S&D Spybot Updates?

Hello,

I had Spybot on my windows XP machine for over a year and then got a new computer with windows Vista.

I was able to copy over Spybot to the new Vista machine and most everything seems to be working fine with one difference.

When I click to update, even as administrator, it always says there are "No newer updates". It has said this for a few months now. On my XP machine it often went through the updating process, but with my new Vista machine it has yet to say there is an update.

Do I have any problem? Why do I not notice it making definition updates etc?

What version of Spybot are you running (go into Spybot > Help > About)?

If you are running Spybot 1.4 make sure that SpybotSD.exe is authorized to access the internet in your firewall.

If you are running Spybot 1.5 make sure that SDUpdate.exe is authorized to access the internet in your firewall.

I have Spybot 1.5

I just got connected though AT&T DSL, so I'm a little unfamilar with their firewall. If I remember right I had to shut off Norton's firewall in order to be compatible with AT&T's.

Do you know how I can allow AT&T's firewall to allow Spybot updates?
