New spyware?

While sufing, I got a popup from virusprotect.com and it must have loaded something that I didn't want. I ran spybot and got 5 hits. When I tried to correct them, the computer shut down. I fanally remove some stuff the hard way, but still have a littls bubble that keeps poping up from this web site. You can't get hold for them as the contact doesn't work. Anybody ran into this before? And if so, hoow did you clear it?

Hello.

VirusProtect, originally called VirusProtectPro, is a Rogue Program (http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm#notes) installed via Zlob infections.

It is not new, just another variant of the large Zlob family. Warning: Infection via bad CODEC installs. Zlob (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=7344)
