Error message after update?

I am a bit ashamed to ask this and I am new here and it could be that I am posting this in the wrong forum...

I downloaded updates for spybot s&d today and got an error message - it said that a malicious code has been placed in to this application by an outsider and that I should run antivirus and spyware scans.

I am using spybot s&d 1.5 and windows vista.

This message is not listed in FAQ or help, so is it a valid error message or is it something more sinnister?

This is a microsoft message.
We have implemented this tool as it should be needed for the vista certification.
But it shows to be buggy and does not make any sense, so we have already deleted it.

Here is the download file for the fix: the new Spybot beta.
