Infection: ad.yieldmanager

Hello,
I am getting redirected to a missing page saying that it cannot find "ad.yieldmanager.com".
I update and immunize with Spybot every Wednesday.
I run McAfee Antivrus and it is on autoupdate.

Hello,
I am getting redirected to a missing page saying that it cannot find "ad.yieldmanager.com".
It may be your host file stopping the page from being loaded.

Not seeing anything that looks like a hacker.

Download and run - ATF Cleaner instructions here. (http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=1925)

Reboot and rescan with HiJackThis and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Hi Little Eagle (great user name :2thumb:)!

I have attempted to get ATF Cleaner through your link. I get a blank tab (using IE7). I even hold down the CTRL key. The URL shows http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1

The behavior is intermittent. Occurs in e-bay & yahoo mail so far. But again it is intermittent. Can't figure a pattern. All of my Mcafee, Adaware and Spybot files are very current. I do not have any file-sharing network software installed. I am on a Gateway laptop with 1MB memory using Vista Home Premium.

Try removing the protection from spybot, let see if it is there host file that is causing this. When you get tired it the ads then reinstall the host file from spybot.

The log from hijackthis looks fine.

Let me know if that works. I think that is just a popup that is getting redirected to your PC, hence the blaank page. But I may be wrong.
