[Bigstrong Friendly]

The programs I have ran today said that there is no malware or virus on my PC. I am also worried about O2 Trixie mscoree.dll missing. I have that on my PC in C:\windows\system32 and other subdirectories. What is this Trixie. Is is something to do with true type font?

mscoree.dll is a file used by many other applications too.

There are just some orphaned items left on your log now. Whatever you ran must have done some cleaning.

If you were using the Trixie plugin, you will need to reinstall it for it to work properly.

Generally I have no problem with my computer. The browser firefox 1.5 also run fine. However my IE6 don't seem to run well. Remember there is stll sites that need IE and ActiveX.
(1) For example I cannot run housecall.trendmicro.com. Using their browser plugin mode nothing run. Using their Java plugin mode it run until the scanning of my files. Then I get a box that say it cannot send data back to site. Clicking on resend button result in screen appearing again. Clicking on cancel button everything stop.
(2) Another example my IE6 cannot proceed to the diagnostics of the SuperAd Blocker. That link was posted to me by them when I post on alt.comp. virus Google Groups regarding this problem.

Check your settings for ActiveX

We generally recommend these

Go to Internet Options/Security/Internet, press 'default level', then OK.

Now press "Custom Level."

In the ActiveX section, set the first two options ("Download signed and unsigned ActiveX controls) to 'prompt', and 'Initialize and Script ActiveX controls not marked as safe" to 'disable'.

Now you will be asked whether you want ActiveX objects to be executed and whether you want software to be installed.
Sites that you know for sure are above suspicion can be moved to the Trusted Zone in Internet Option/security.

Also, Temporarily disable any adblocker programs you are running while at the Trend-Micro site. You will need to use popups on that site to get working properly

Your problem sounds like a setting this isn't allowing the scan.

Im afraid I'm not familiar with the error you are seeing on Trend Micro nor am familiar with the program you describe problems with.

Look like I cannot get housecall.trendmicro.com to work again. I gave up on it. Anyway no big loss as it is just a scanner. I can scan with the other malware or virus scanners I have.
Windows update is fine. I do not use automatic updates. I choose what I think I need to install and ignore the rest. I think I have all the latest updates.
Thinking about windows updates I think my IE6 problem (with trendmicro's housecall) began after I have installed scripten, the Win32 cabinet self-extractor for scripts 5.6.
Look like there is nothing left to be done or undone.

I think you need to use this program to scan your system if you haven't used it already. It may find additional infected files to remove.

Please download, install, and update the free trial version of Ewido AntiMalware:

[1]From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.

[2]After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")

[3]Click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Complete System Scan button. This scan can take quite a while to run, so please be patient

[4]If Ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "remove" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.

[5]When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again.

Copy and paste the results from that scan back here please for review :)
