Windows - no disk
When I try to run Spybot search, the "Windows - no disk. There is no disk in the drive." pops up. I have to continually click "continue" to make the scan tick over one file at a time so it takes ages to run a complete scan. Can anyone suggest how to stop this? It doesn't say which drive, but I have tried putting disks in each drive at a time, but it doesn't solve the problem.

Get the same thing.
Any clue out there as to what is happening?
Running WindowsXP Pro.

Note: my virus scanner gives the same message; after clicking "continue" the program just runs...unlike Spybot.

Do you have Spybot installed in the default location?
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy

If you have a removable drive configured as drive letter C see the following:
"There Is No Disk in the Drive. Please Insert a Disk into Drive \Device\harddisk\Dr1" Error Message When You Start Your Computer

Another possibility (remote):

HopAlongBunny:

Consider the following - as a throwback to the DOS days drive assignments should be:
A:\ - Floppy
B:\ - Floppy (or certain other removable devices)
C:\ - Hard Disk 1: Primary Partition

Actually Windows assigned the drive letters after installing a new HD and OS;)
Many thanks!:D
