I couldn't upload spybot, so i ran the scans to deal with that problem. Well I got spybot to run, but kaspersky sees something that norton does not.

Hi Steve, understand that no antivirus program is perfect, if one was, they would get all of the $$$, someone has to locate and add the new infections to the databases and hope their customers download on a timely basis. This is why it is best to keep a couple of good online scans for backups.

Your HJT log shows an out of date Java program, see this:

Let's clean a little:

1) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

2) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.

3) Windows Defender
Click on "Tools"
Click on "General Settings"
Scroll down to "Real-time protection options"
Uncheck "Turn on Real-time protection (recommended)"
Click "Save"
Make sure to turn your proection back on when you finish.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(the hp redirects are option, leave them if you use them, the others are adware...yes Yahoo is in bed with the enemy)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart and post a new HJT log if you wish. I will give you all of the information now, let me know if I can do more.
