Please Help, Tried everything...

So, after several scans with Spybot, Adaware, Nod32, AVG, combofix, I still get pop-ups... I really hate this, I would like to know what is doing this and find the person who made the spyware that seems to be infecting me and do bad things to them...

The poups i am getting are from sites like wallst.net and https://www.centennialapplication.com types of sites...

OK, So I fixed this myself...

Don't try this yourself, I am posting here to have the pro's take a look to verify and maybe help someone else with the same issue....



So, Random pop-ups caused by some infection...

It started after I had removed a bunch of other infections via ad-aware, Spybot, combofix, Mcaffee antivirus, etc. There was one thing I could get rid of, it doesn't show up in any Hijack this log, but I had noticed this anomolly in a few other programs. There was a service that would start as a kernel driver service called cdr4xxpp.sys.....

I was suspicious because this sys file returned no results in google.... So, using RunAnalyzer I was able to find the Registry path of this and deleted the entry and the file itself. This was acheived via safemode as it would let me touch it in normal mode.

The key was located at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\

and the file at: WINDOWS/system32/Drivers



The symptons of this were: Random pop-ups to sites like wallst.net, some dating sites, nothing really pornographic.

This occured even in IE7 and even after resetting and uninstalling/reinstalling ie7.
