After having problems with my pc,i tried a system restore to no avail.I pressed undo restoration and after completion my pc restarted automatically. My pc seems to boot up normally but when trying to log on i receive a message "WININET.dll is missing or cannot be found" the screen then just goes to my desktop background and my pc dies.
I was running XP home user but do not have the original disks i used for installation. Is there anything i can do with my pc to get access?Thank you.

It does not look good, where are those CD's? They are very important!

You can try this, if there is a copy of the missing file on your computer, System File Checker will replace the misssing or corrupt file.
