Hi-
I have been getting constant popups, something very nasty in my computer. I have run a number of online scans and have run AVG, Ad-Aware, Spybot, Spyware blaster, Spywareguard and Microsoft AntiSpyware... a number of things would get fixed, but the problem would remain and when I ran the scans again it would find more garbage. I'm not sure if any of these conflict with each other or if they are all ok together. I greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance!

HI

You have NO service packs... without these you are asking for trouble...

In IE click > Tools > Windows Update ... download and install ALL critical updates and service packs...

Then...

You have a VX2 infection....

Download http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe by ShadowWar.

1. Save the file to your desktop

2. Double click l2mfix.exe

3. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts

4. Open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop

5. Double click l2mfix.bat

6. Select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter

7. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log.

8. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
