I am trying to help a coworker whose machine cannot load any activex controls in IE. I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the shockwave and flash player but no dice, Machine has windows XP SP2 and it does not even get the information bar. Windowsupdate site does not work (does not load the component either). I have tried any/all suggestions I could find on the web. I suspect it could be some virtus or malware?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
CCD1006
