(Not sure where I should post this so went for general chat)

While playing around with my machine I discovered that an app was starting called FreedomHiddenWindow. A google search showed the following on your forums relating to the same problem

http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=20696
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=20706

As they are archived I couldn't respond on the posts, but in case anyone else ends up here as a result of google I thought I would post my answer.

In my case the offending program is my firewall/virus protection PCGuard.

This displays a little box to tell you it is starting and windows knows that application as "FreedomHiddenWindow".

In case there are other developers out there (or some kind of technical reason) who want to use such suspicious sounding names for harmless apps the following is how I found out what it was.

Using task manager. If you right click on an application in task manager and then select "Go to Process" it switches to the processes tab and highlights the program name of the process which is running. If you don't recognise this name then a search through program files or the internet should tell you more about it :)

Anyway I've learnt something new today and so I thought I'd pass it on. Hope it helps.

Matt
