Installation Problem Code 2

Has anyone come across this error message while installing Spybot: I have tried different downloads and have just used the latest download direct from the link off Spybot forum.
"An error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory. Movefile failed; code 2"
I've tried it with Antivirus disabled and each time the same message is displayed with the option to retry abort or ignore(not recommended).
As soon as I launch the set up file from the desktop Spybot wants an internet connection to begin the set up. It gets as far as downloading extra files and then begins the installation. At that point I get the error messages, I can now disconnect from the internet and disable my AVG but I still get the error message on retry.

Hello,

During the installation Spybot tries to download the updates.
You can disable this function in the wizard itself.
Just untick the checkbox in front of "download updates during installation".
The updates can be downloaded later on.

Thanks Sandra,
By disabling the update feature in the wizard I was able to install in safe mode. Before attempting that I deleted all former traces of Spybot including Prefetch files by running a search from the 'Start' button. I was able to install and then reboot, update etc and all is well. Thank you for your advice and I hope other users can use this solution in the future.
