I'm yet another with an impossible to shift Virtumonde / Vundo problem. Spybot always comes back with Virtumonde listings, and IE7 has been taken over completely! Below are Kaspersky & Hijack This reports done this morning. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Thanks for posting the correct information, be aware this is not an easy infection to remove. Before I start I need to point our this:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Program Setups\CRACK[1].CD-BadCopy_Pro_v3.75_build_0608.zip
This may or may not be but it looks like illegal activity, you need to know our policy here:

Note: We do not support the use of illegal Pirated/Warez/Cracked software.
Helping a person who insists on using such software, could be construed in the eyes of the law to be aiding and abetting a crime. Therefore you will be asked to remove any cracked programs and in the case of your operating system, to obtain a valid licensed copy.
You appear to have Vundofix onboard, if this is the case, delete that program and download it new from the link I provide. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, read and follow the directions carefully or the tools will not work.

Kaspersky first:

Delete all files or folders in red
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Documents\E8\Filmspace\website\index hacked.php
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Program Setups\CRACK[1].CD-BadCopy_Pro_v3.75_build_0608.zip

"Download VundoFix" to your Desktop

Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
When VundoFix opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will attempt run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click
the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot. Vundofix.txt will be on the C:\

Post the Vundofix.txt and a new HJT log

Quite right. A moment of desperation, the likes of which lead to these kinds of problems. Lesson learned.

I've deleted the offending files, had to boot into safe mode to get rid of the dlls.

The new download of Vundofix says:

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, one more nasty holding on, follow these instructions.

1) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Windows Defender
Click on "Tools"
Click on "General Settings"
Scroll down to "Real-time protection options"
Uncheck "Turn on Real-time protection (recommended)"
Click "Save"
Make sure to turn your proection back on when you finish.

4) Open Vundofix by Doubleclicking on it, then point your mouse to the white box above the buttons and right click, then click on Add More Files. When the next window opens, copy and paste the files into the boxes and click on Add File(s), then click on Close Window. Then click Remove Vundo.

5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

6) Right click Start > Explore and navigate to these files/folders and delete them if there.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\lbjsbuam.dll << make sure that file is gone

7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart and post a new HJT log, let me hear how the computer is running. If all is running well, scan with Kaspersky and do not post a clean scan, only if you have questions.

MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SYSTEM RESTORE
Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot

Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

I'll give you all of the information now and you pop back to let me know all is well when you finish.

Yes, Spybot cleaned them out on the first scan. Second scan came back clean. I am fully up to date and immunized. Will post again if Kaspersky or MacAfee show anything up. Not had chance to scan yet...
