Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

That's a clean Kaspersky scan, are you sure you have malware issues on this computer? I will look at a HJT log if you think you need to post one.

Download Trend Micro Hijack This™
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/hijackthis/HJTInstall.exe
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

Please describe any symptoms and post any error messages "word for word".

start up stalls with desk top showing but task bar not operative (cursor is an hourglass in task bar area) after a long wait the taskbar becomes active and everything behaves normally.

I am not seeing a thing in the HJT log that looks like malware and fear you have other issues. Are you familiar with this program:
C:\Program Files\Vongo\
Has anything new been installed recently?
And you are not receiving any error messages at all?

I would consider running combofix but since Kaspersky is clean, it is unlikely anything is going to be found. Let's run a free diagnostic here:

I am not familiar with the AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic scan report and don't recall requesting it, but you should be? If it found two items, did you delete or quarantine them? Close as I can figure is this is what Antivir is finding: C:\Program Files\music_now\inetchk.exe

According to this information, the file as deleted. It is indicated that the System Restore file was deleted also. That is a protected file and the only way to clean it is like this:
