try running the scan in safe mode by restarting your computer, then when windows starts to load hit f8 until a screen pops up with options and select safe mode. run the scan in safe mode and let me know if it finishes. Another solution is to completely uninstall and install the latest version again.

Concur with prior report.

Tried restart in Safe Mode, but it makes no difference. Looking more and more like a bug.

that you are using sp3 for windows xp. Sp3 is currently in beta form, and that may be causing the problem.
To apple: Are you beta testing for service pack 3 as well for Microsoft windows XP?
Also, Did you both try completely removing the program and then reinstalling the newest version?

Hallo Sandra,

yes I'm running version 1.5.2 with all updates.

When running scans with Trojans.sbi the scan did not finish. If only scan Trojans.sbi the scan runs to end (23430/23430Zwax) but dont finish. All other scan options / points running to end and finish.

I think this problem are since the last update but im not sure.
Hope you can help me.

Hello,

Please also do the following:
Clean your Cache and Cookies in IE:

* Close all instances of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer
* Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab
* Click the "Delete Cookies" button
* Next to it, Click the "Delete Files" button
* When prompted, place a check in: "Delete all offline content",
click OK

Clean your Cache and Cookies in Firefox (In case you also have
Firefox installed):

* Go to Tools > Options.
* Click Privacy in the menu on the left side of the Options window.
* Click the Clear button located to the right of each option
(History, Cookies, Cache).
* Click OK to close the Options window
Alternatively, you can clear all information stored while browsing
by clicking Clear All.
A confirmation dialog box will be shown before clearing the
information.

Clean other Temporary files + Recycle bin

* Go to start > run and type: *cleanmgr* and click ok.
* Let it scan your system for files to remove.
* Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle
Bin are the only things checked.
* Press OK to remove them.

Please close all other applications during the Spybot scan.

If this does not help please edit the shortcut icon on your desktop that is used to run Spybot-S&D.
Rightclick the icon and choose properties.
Then include a /verbose in it's link location.
To see how to do that please have a look at this link in our forum:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=23560
When you do a scan now, it will show an 8 digit number in the status bar at the bottom, like $1234ABCD.
Please post the ID here.
We can use this information to look up where exactly it hangs. Thanks. :)
