Hello,

Im not sure what Im affected with at this point, but Ive just had a real hard time keeping my pc clean. Im starting to believe my anti-virus program is ineffective. I run SB S&D every week. Im not able to remove my symantec anti-virus with the normal add remove program. Here are the reports, thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

You are infected and it is a nasty one. Please do not expect fast or easy and I suggest you stay offline except when troubleshooting. I believe I see Ukrainian hackers who are involved in this.

Before we start, please see this which is a BHO on your computer:
O2 - BHO: mIRC Addon - {20222418-0727-4AD7-9B49-828A739CF858} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\msram.dll
http://www.castlecops.com/clsid-42152.html
If you would attach a copy of that file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\msram.dll
and also this one: C:\WINDOWS\system32\corpo.dll
to an email and please add a link to your topic here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=24278
so CC's who maintain databases for malware fighters will know where it came from.
You may need to show hidden files and folders to see those files:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.

1) Thanks to LonnyBJones and anyone else who helped with this fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your Desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

(wait until you finish to post the logs and reports)

2) Tutorial if needed:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop

Download ComboFix from Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Post the combofix log the report from Fixwareout and a new HJT log.
Thanks

While you wait on me, time permitting:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery\ <<< delete the contents of that folder in red

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

6) Right click Start > Explore and navigate to these files/folders and delete them if there.

c:\2408713 <<< delete that file

7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart and post a new HJT log and some feedback.

Thanks

I am sure you saw this:
WARNING -THIS MACHINE DOES NOT HAVE THE RECOVERY CONSOLE INSTALLED !!

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix
Review that information to understand Recovery Console. Installation is optional but if you do not have the CD's needed, as is explained, it can be installed before we remove combofix.
If you do not wish to install RC, let me know so I can continue with the cleanup.

the computer seems to be running smoother. If you dont think its necessary to add an RC Ill pass on installing one. Let me know if you think I should install one.

Also, I get a fatal error everytime I try to uninstall symantec antivirus. I think my outdated antivirus program is ineffective, I was hoping I could get rid of it and buy a new program. let me know what you think.

Thanks for returning your information, concerning Recovery Console, I believe I have provided enough information for you to decide if you wish to install it or not and I will let you make that decision.

You must have an antivirus prgram running, it is cyber-suicide to go online without one. You said this:

Also, I get a fatal error everytime I try to uninstall symantec antivirus. I think my outdated antivirus program is ineffective, I was hoping I could get rid of it and buy a new program. let me know what you think. If your version of Symantec AntiVirus is out of date and you don't intend to purchase it again, then you need to get it off and get something in it's place. It is always best to uninstall the program in Add Remove Programs. If you can not do that, here are instructions Symantec has made available:
http://basconotw.mvps.org/SymRem.htm

Here are free antivirus programs, install only one of those:
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
http://www.free-av.com/

To continue with the cleanup:

1) See this: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
Check your Java program, I believe you need one update.

2) Remove combofix from your computer, be sure to delete the C:\qoobox\quarantine\ folder, also remove Fixwareout from the computer.
Scan with Kaspersky Online Scan to make sure we got it all, use these settings:
* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here. <<< no need to post a clean scan

I see you installed RC, and it installed fine. If you ever need it, you will have in. Complete the balance of the instructions.

Thanks

Complete the balance of the instructions.[/COLOR]

Im not sure what you want me to do at this point. Do you want me to do the Kaspersky online scan? Im just wondering because you put "no need to post a clean scan" Im sorry about the confusion.

Thanks for returning your scan results, proceed like this:

Make sure hidden files and folders are still visible:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

(second request to clean this Recovery folder, instructions to do this posted at the end of my post #3)

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery\ <<< delete the contents of that Recovery folder
http://ict.cas.psu.edu/training/howto/util/removespybot.htm#1

Delete all files in red

C:\12.tmp
C:\176905136
C:\78.tmp
C:\7B.tmp
C:\Program Files\MSN Gaming Zone\profsy.html
C:\WINDOWS\system32\kdgev.exe
C:\WINDOWS\tsitra11.exe.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\zze.exe

Empty the Recycle Bin on the Desktop and restart the computer.

Clean System Restore files like this:
Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot

Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Scan with Kaspersky to make sure you got them all, do not post a clean scan.
