Tried to fix myself before thinking about coming here so not sure if I did more harm than good. Only know that virtumonde will not leave me alone.
Did all that was asked of me in the before I post section and here are the log files. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!! Not the complete Kasper file but rules state not to make multiple posts to start.

Hello cubbybri :)
While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.
----------------------------------------------- Step 1
Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
Expand the "Tools" menu.
Click "Resident".
Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.
----------------------------------------------- Step 2
Open HijackThis, click Config, click Misc Tools
Click "Open Uninstall Manager"
Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.
----------------------------------------------- Step 3
Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe).
You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..
Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

Hello cubbybri :)
A quick question for you before we begin, did you knowingly install all of the poker type programs you have installed on your computer?
Please go to Microsoft's website => http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310994
Select the download that's appropriate for your Operating System
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Without Service Packs
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...55-BD5AFEE126D8 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E8FE6868-6E4F-471C-B455-BD5AFEE126D8)
Service Pack 1

## Important ##
As we do not know the name of the file that's downloaded, you have to save the file as RC.exe to the root of SystemDrive e.g. C:\RC.exe
STEP #2
Download the latest copy of ComboFix.exe => http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:
RecoveryConsole::
C:\RC.EXE
Save this as "CFScript"
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScript.gif
Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe
When finished, it shall produce a log for you, C:\CF-RC.txt. Post that log in your next reply.
## Important ##
This is a precautionary measure. Please do not reboot the machine until we have reviewed the log & responded to you.

Hello cubbybri :)
1. Please open Notepad
Click Start , then Run
Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.
2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:
Driver::
MSControlService
Fokler::
C:\VundoFix Backups
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ver2
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jap8
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hlp6
C:\WINDOWS\system32\fed4
File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hbtxhgma.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\penviunq.dll
Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"b8d389da"=-
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{90415c65-d248-4b6a-b5b6-ddad35f5e6ed}]
Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.
3. Save the above as CFScript.txt
4. Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
5. Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.
http://users.pandora.be/bluepatchy/miekiemoes/images/CFScript.gif
6. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), please post the following reports/logs into your next replyafter you re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix:
Combofix.txt
A new HijackThis log.
Please take note:
CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

Hello cubbybri :)
1. Please open Notepad
Click Start , then Run
Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.
2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:
Folder::
C:\VundoFix Backups
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ver2
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jap8
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hlp6
C:\WINDOWS\system32\fed4
Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\gpnlhugc]

Please post back with a new HijackThis log, and an update on how your computer is running.
cubbybri
2008-02-20, 01:18
Everything looks like it is running well. Fairly quick, no pop ups and an error I was getting upon startup is no longer appearing.
Haven't really been running much since the issue started but seems to be in better shape now.
Here is the HJT log

Hello cubbybri :)
Please delete the following folder:
C:\Qoobox
Set a New Restore Point to prevent possible reinfection from an old one. Some of the malware you picked up could have been saved in System Restore. Since System Restore is a protected directory, your tools can not access it to delete these bad files which sometimes can reinfect your system. Setting a new restore point AFTER cleaning your system will help prevent this and enable your computer to "roll-back" to a clean working state.
The easiest and safest way to do this is:
Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and click "System Restore".
Choose the radio button marked "Create a Restore Point" on the first screen then click "Next". Give the R.P. a name then click "Create". The new point will be stamped with the current date and time. Keep a log of this so you can find it easily should you need to use System Restore.
Then go to Start > Run and type: Cleanmgr
Click "OK".
Click the "More Options" Tab.
Click "Clean Up" in the System Restore section to remove all previous restore points except the newly created one.
Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:
From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
Click once on the Security tab
Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
Click once on the Custom Level button.
Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
Use an AntiVirus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine. This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future.
See this link for a listing of some online & their stand-alone antivirus programs:
Virus, Spyware, and Malware Protection and Removal Resources (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topict405.html)
Update your AntiVirus Software - It is imperitive that you update your Antivirus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your antivirus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.
Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is succeptible to being hacked and taken over. I am very serious about this and see it happen almost every day with my clients. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly.
For a tutorial on Firewalls and a listing of some available ones see the link below:
Understanding and Using Firewalls (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial60.html)
Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com (http://www.windowsupdate.com) regularly. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.
Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial49.html)
Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically.
here are some additional utilities that will enhance your safety
IE/Spyad (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial53.html) <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
MVPS Hosts file (http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm) <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your coputer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/) <= Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
Winpatrol (http://www.winpatrol.com/) <= Download and install the free version of Winpatrol. a tutorial for this product is located here:
Using Winpatrol to protect your computer from malicious software (http://www.winpatrol.com/features.html)

:present:.
I have done all that you have said. I let my Norton subscription lapse so that is all that is left for me to do(unless there is a good free antivirus/internet security program out there you can reply to this with the info).
I appreciate all you have done and I think this issue is resolved.
Thank you thank you thank you.

After rebooting, I am now getting an error on startup saying
Error Loading C:\windows\system32\ penviunq.dll
The specified module could not be found.
Should I be concerned and is there something I can do to get rid of/repair this issue?

Hello cubbybri :)
After rebooting, I am now getting an error on startup saying
Error Loading C:\windows\system32\ penviunq.dll
The specified module could not be found.
This usually happens when a malware file or program has been removed physically from the file system, but still has a stray registry entry that is causing an error on startup, because the file or program no longer exists to run. It should be easy enough to fix :)
Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/Deckard/dss.exe) and save it to your Desktop.
Close all other windows before proceeding.
Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Hello cubbybri :)
I think TeaTimer is still interferring with our fix attempts, let's just uninstall it for now and we'll reinstall it when we're finished here.
Using Add Or Remove Programs remove the following entries (if present): (To get into add Or Remove Programs press the START button > Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs.)
Spybot - Search & Destroy
Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {90415c65-d248-4b6a-b5b6-ddad35f5e6ed} - (no file)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: gpnlhugc - C:\WINDOWS\
Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HijackThis.
Then post back with a new HijackThis log :)

All seems well on this end. Just need to get Spybot back on and going to put on a new antivirus.
If you think I need to do more, let me know. If not, we will assume all is good and this issue is done with for good(I hope).
I appreciate all you have done for me. I thank you tremendously.

Hello cubbybri :)
I do actually happen to have a few last tips for you :)

Have no Qoobox folder any longer. Got rid of it in previous steps and not there this time.
Everything else is done but re-installing Spybot and upgrading my antivirus.
You rock and thank you for the help. Please let me know if there is anything else.
Thanks again.
