How do I disable Spy-Bot so that I can install updates to Internet Explorer?

I have been having trouble with Internet Exploerer &. I tried to download updates and it keeps telling me to disable all spyware detectors and firewalls for it to re-install properly. How do i temporarily disable Spy-Bot in order to accomplish this?:red:

Which updates exactly told you that?

Legit software should not tell you to deactivate security measures. Especially not firewalls. Some still does, so I'm asking ;)
